BA3A❀QUILL❀WEEK 13
12:04During this week, I finished Quill's model sheet.
As Quill's arms are crossed over his body in his illustration, I think it makes it quite difficult to see his full design; in retrospect, I probably should have thought about doing model sheets much earlier. However, this just gave me more motivation to finish the model sheets for the existing characters. Following this, I immediately began work on Cyra, my final character, who also needed a model sheet.
With Cyra's design, their eyes are not usually visible. My original idea for this was that since they were a deity, and eyes are supposedly the windows to the soul, covering their eyes would make them seem mysterious and non-human; no human can see without their eyes clearly open! However, the more I thought about it and the original concepts of them being similar to Hermes in Greek myth, the more I thought about Hermes being a trickster and a psychopomp (guide of spirits to the underworld). I thought that considering this parallel, it might be interesting to have a more ominous take on Cyra's character, and give them an ominous eye design that reflects more with the concept of 'night' than 'day', and making them an antagonist character towards the end of the story.
