BA3A❀QUILL❀WEEK 12
11:49
During this week, I completed Rae's model sheet. It features her design from the front and the back, as well as a closer view on her eye design, and colours for her hair, skin, eyes, clothes, and accessories. This would allow other people to draw her design accurately and gives a clearer view of the length of her tunic and hair without the confusion of the intense dynamics I used in her illustration.
After this, I used the same background layout as I created for Rae as a base for Quill's sheet. Quill is quite a lot shorter and a little rounder than Rae is (since Rae is made up of quite long ovals and cylinders), so I tried to keep Quill shorter than Rae is in her sheet in order to illustrate the height difference. (I don't think Quill is particularly short for a teenager, on the contrary - I just made Rae quite tall and lanky in comparison. I think this kind of look makes her feel a little bit awkward in design, and paired with how I imagine her to be smiling all the time, it gives off the 'airheaded princess' vibe I was looking for).
Similar to Rae's hair, I kept the back of Quill's scarf translucent in the back view; this allows anyone else drawing them to see how long the scarf is without missing other information on the back of their outfit (such as the position of their belt or where their shorts finish).
