BA3a❀Quill❀Week 10

I worked further into my weapon design, picking out the design I liked the most and experimenting with colour.

Although I quite liked the orange and yellow design,  I thought it looked more like the attribute colour I used for dusk instead of day, and decided to use the top right design instead, as it incorporates the blue I used on the 'day' attribute bubble instead of the dusk one. I quite liked the yellow main orb and 'wings' as it looked like a yellow sun, with the blue orbs representing the sky and the yellow ribbon representing clouds, so I was satisfied with this.

After this, I began to work on the character to go alongside the weapon. First came the silhouettes; I experimented with a smaller, more stylised shape to the body and adding wings.

Once this was complete, I began to work on the design; I still had the idea of metal and gears in my head from working on the weapon, so to incorporate this into the character design, I experimented with mechanical legs in some iterations.
After this, I looked into colour. I already had a fairly good idea of which colours I wanted to use because of the staff design, so I went through considerably fewer iterations than my other two character designs.
Once I had a colour scheme i was satisfied with, I began to work on the illustration featuring both the character and the weapon.
