BA2b♥Collaborative Game Project♥Uninstall Weeks 1-2

Week 1
For this group project, I began working in a team we (for some reason?) dubbed 'Foxy Grandpas'. After initial brainstorming and looking at games like Cookie Run, we decided to create a 2d sidescroller based around the concept of a game being uninstalled. The game would progress so that the further the player goes, the more corrupted the world would become, and they would have to collect stamina to continue.
We decided we would roughly divide up the team so that two members would main blueprinting, two would main art and assets, and one member would help both. We would all pick up extra jobs as and when needed. Since I was part of the group maining work on art and in-game assets, I began drawing up concept art for the protagonist. We wanted to go for a cute kind of style for the protagonist, so I drew up a couple of simple ideas.
After getting feedback from the group, we decided to combine these two concepts; people liked the red coat, but also liked a non-human character.
We eventually decided on this design, which combined elements of both, but remained simple so that we could draw it repeatedly without missing intricacies.
Following this, I also created designs and sprites for health items and damage items that would fall down the screen. We wanted these to resemble file icons.
I also created the game's logo, which went through multiple iterations before all members were happy.
After this, I was also designated sell sheet assembler for our group, so I drew up a few extra images of the protagonist to make mockups of the game, put together the two-page sell sheet and made the sheet background, page layout, and wrote descriptions for each section.
(The environment backgrounds used in the mockups and window text boxes for the sell sheet were made by Jojo Marnick.)
This was submitted on the Monday of week 2.
Week 2
This week was an overlap with both the cross-course project with Fine Art and Interchange.
During this week, I began to sketch out ideas for the sprites of the game. Each animation needed a flipbook of sprites, so I took some time to sketch ideas for each one and received feedback from other team members.
I have to admit that animating sprites is not one of my strong points, and I had trouble making the images run on from one another nicely despite the simple design.
