BA3a❀Quill❀Week 5

Before drawing up the background, I quickly tested a few options for details within the castle's silhouette. However, these ended up becoming cluttered very quickly, so I stuck with a relatively simple, blocky castle design to match the bright & solid style I'd been using so far.

I moved my coloured silhouette onto a canvas to use as a kind of template, and shuffled around some parts of it, clarifying others, before moving on to linework.

As I linearted,  I received some feedback from tutors at the Univeersity, and noticed a few mistakes in the perspective of the bridge. This led me to adapt it and change it, making the far end of the bridge about the same size as the double doors of the castle in order to create a more believable distance between the viewer and the castle itself.
I then moved on to colours, using the initial thumbnail I had made as a rough guide.

I then used layer settings, opacity and clipping layers to add more details, such as the background mountains, cloud silhouettes, and slight colour on the lineart.
